Bio Sketches
Giuseppe Anastasi is an associate professor of Computer
Engineering at the Department of
Information Engineering of the University
of Pisa, Italy. He received the MS degree in Electronics Engineering,
and the PhD degree in Computer Engineering, both from the University
of Pisa, in 1990 and 1995, respectively. His research interests include
pervasive computing systems, sensor networks, and green computing.
He is the founding co-chair of the Pervasive Computing & Networking
Laboratory (PerLab), and has contributed
to many research programs funded by both national and international
institutions. He is a co-editor of the book Advanced
Lectures in Networking (LNCS 2497, Springer, 2002), and has published
more than 80 research papers in the area of computer networking and
pervasive computing. He is an area editor of the Elsevier's journals
of Pervasive and Mobile Computing (PMC)
and Computer Communications (ComCom).
He is currently serving as Program Chair of IEEE
PerCom 2010. He has also served as Program Co-chair of IEEE
WoWMoM 2008, Vice Program Co-chair of IEEE
MASS 2007, General Co-chair of IEEE
WoWMoM 2005, Workshops Chair of IEEE
PerCom 2006, IEEE
WoWMoM 2006, and IEEE
ICCCN 2007. He has launched the International Workshop on Sensor
Networks and Systems for Pervasive Computing (PerSeNS),
co-located with IEEE PerCom.
He has been a member of the IEEE Computer Society since 1994.
